For the trucking business, looking ahead to 2023 is more like staring in the rearview mirror. In the upcoming months, a lot of the problems from the last year will still be there, including labor problems and the availability of new equipment.
The industry is being negatively impacted by economic uncertainties, at least for the first half of the year. Spot pricing has fallen as a result of low demand for carrier services, and carriers have reduced operations, but they are still confident that a reversal is imminent.
