Today, funding for transportation-related projects for the County’s Department of Transportation and Highways was approved by the Cook County Board of Commissioners (DoTH). These crucial initiatives advance regional mobility, advance economic growth, and raise living standards throughout Chicago County.

Metra | $5,000,000
Cook County’s pledge of matching funds for a recently granted $24 million All Stations Accessibility Program (ASAP) grant to Metra for the renovation and modernization of the 95th Street Chicago State University station in the City of Chicago. The grant was made possible by the U.S. Department of Transportation. By constructing elevators and adding other accessibility features, Metra will be able to advance this $38 million project, bringing this 1920s station up to ADA requirements.
